THE WHY

The youngest of the original twelve disciples was the apostle John. In his gospel, John portrays the personal side of Jesus, sharing the classic, one-on-one conversations that reveal a Jesus who "knew the heart of man." John lived his life with Jesus and for Jesus—and, while imprisoned on the island of Patmos, he declared, "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!" (Revelation 5: 12). This beautiful perspective reflects our own passion for Christ.

the One project seeks, through gatherings, conversations, web-based content, and Christ-focused publications to stimulate preaching, worship, and adoration of Jesus.

The One project is committed to the idea that a Jesus-led, Jesus-filled, all-about-Jesus movement is the uncompromising directive from our past, the joy of our present, and hope for our future. We claim the primal impulse: a longing to be with Jesus. We believe pulpits, classrooms, worship halls, board rooms, living rooms—life!—should be drenched in the Spirit of Jesus.  We crave a high Christology in which Jesus is fully honored as Creator, Savior, and Lord. We believe Jesus is the hope of the first testament and inspiration for the second. Theology—the study of God—is at its best in the dedicated exploration of Jesus, who is "the image of God." He alone is the "desire of the ages." - from antiquity to the modern age, and people of all ages.  We love our communities. And we want the greatest gift for it—Jesus.

THE JOURNEY

It began in a Denver hotel room, with a small group of friends seeking  a personal and meaningful answer to the question: Why does Christianity matter? We left as brothers—renewed, directed, and inspired by the only answer to the question why?  Jesus.  We soon discovered that there were countless others who share our desire to make Jesus the focus of everything. We began to seek meaningful ways to live in faith, in community,  in leadership, and discipleship. Just as God assured Elijah (1 Kings 19:18) that he was not alone, we began to see the outpouring of desire for Jesus around the world.  In the years following this story was filled with a living vision in Jesus. When we gathered we believed that every moment would be used to build new or refresh old community. We believed that, just as we were experiencing others too would leave the gatherings knowing Jesus. All.  We vowed that we were  committed to the idea that a Jesus-led, Jesus-filled Adventist Church is the uncompromising directive from our past, the joy of our present, and hope for our future.
We are so grateful for the partners and donors, the worship creatives and designers, the writers and artists, teachers and thinkers,  preachers and speakers, kids and believers who gave of their passion and talents, powered by the Spirit of God to shape the lives of  thousands around the globe.   Together, we discovered the beauty of . . .

In Praise of Jesus Christ

He is the image of God, the invisible one, the firstborn of all creation. For in Him all things were created, in the heavens and here on the earth. Things we can see and things we cannot, – thrones and lordships and rulers and powers – all things were created both through Him and for Him. And He is ahead, prior to all else and in Him all things hold together; and He himself is supreme, the head over the body, the church. He is the start of it all, firstborn from realms of the dead; so in all things He might be the chief. For in Him all the fullness was glad to dwell and through Him to reconcile all to Himself, making peace through the blood of his cross, through Him – yes, things on the earth, and also the things in the heaven.
