Overview

“Following Jesus”

What did it mean to be a follower of Jesus? What does it mean today?
Jesus’ life demonstrated not only a message, but a method of doing ministry and making disciples. Revisit the story of Jesus and discover how His disciple-making shapes our life and mission as His disciples now. Jesus’ command to “Go . . .” (Matthew 28:18-20) was not a new command, it was a call to continue His ministry—and to take it further.

Our one-day gatherings offer a focused day of worship, reflections and recalibrations, as well as a free One project-supported worship program on the Friday evening (August 11, 7.30 pm, Avondale College Church).

Reserve

Registration fee (includes Saturday lunch): $70

Late registration (after July 31): $80

PREPARATION

We always encourage attenders to read or re-read the gospels and the Desire of Ages. We believe this will help establish a platform for the gathering conversations.  Pray for our time together.

WHO ATTENDS?

Anyone who has a deep love for Jesus and enjoys talking about Him with others. Our gatherings are truly multi-generational. You have will opportunities to talk to our presenters, who join as learners as well.  Every person comes as an equal, whether they be a church administrator, student, church leader, theologian, teenager, or layperson.  We value everyone's opinion; and seek to learn more about Jesus from the bible, from our presenters, and from each other.

CANCELLATION

Please note that registration is non-refundable.  However, should you be unable to attend, we will happily transfer it to someone else at your request. Please contact Rod Long for assistance.
