Japhet claims that, “This sermon is a remapping of what they misunderstood.” If
Jesus was here with us today giving his “Sermon on the Stage” in San Diego, what
do you think his message would be? What do you think we still misunderstand today?

Japhet challenges us to realize, like Jesus, that there are Judas characters in our inner circles at our local churches—and that we are still called to break bread with them to ensure a safe and peaceful church. How can this be achieved? What does this look like when people in the church have disappointed you, hurt you, or led you to anger?
